When deciding on a name for the company, it was down to our founder, Francesco, to draw on his life experiences to find inspiration. Looking at the importance of the words in his life, Primo was a no-brainer. Primo was the name of his Italian grandfather, a man who has continually inspired him throughout his life. Not only does the word mean "top quality" but it originates from the Italian for "first" which perfectly encapsulates your journey with Primo Diamonds. The first in diamond quality and jewellery craftsmanship to begin your first diamond purchase.

Francesco’s father has worked in the jewellery industry for more than 40 years. As a young boy, he would walk with him through the streets of Hatton Garden, taking in the sights of dazzling gemstones and intricate jewellery. The memories of visits to diamond suppliers and jewellery workshops stuck with him and became the encouragement needed to create what is now Primo Diamonds.
